Our Adopted Families
Once again, we have “adopted” families through the Turning Point program in hopes that A.D. Makepeace Company employees will help make their holidays a little brighter. Dispatch Manager – Read Custom Soils Responsibilities include managing the scale house, organizing and scheduling the Read Custom Soils (RCS) fleet, and external trucking companies to deliver RCS products in a timely and efficient manner. Previous dispatch and fleet management experience is required.
Finance in the Field
Management believes it important for all employees to understand all facets of our lines of business so they have a better understanding of how and why our dollars are spent. Farmers to Families
Our Read Custom Soils and Finance teams each spent recent Friday afternoons volunteering at the Gleason Family YMCA for the Farmers to Families program. Several local organizations partnered this summer to bring this program to the Wareham area which provided weekly boxes of fresh produce to those in need. Those organizations included Gleason Family YMCA, Marion Institute, Sid Wainer & Son, & United Way of Greater New Bedford.
A Message from Jim Kane
The A.D. Makepeace Company has a long history of supporting our communities, and during this pandemic, we have put extra effort into finding ways we as employees can help. With the American Red Cross, we have brought in much-needed blood donations. Our Read and Finance teams have each dedicated a Friday afternoon to distributing food boxes to the needy. Changes to Benefit Plans
Due to COVID-19, the IRS is allowing certain changes to our employer sponsored benefit plans. Please note that the following amendments have been made to our plans: Flexible Spending Account – you may make mid-year changes such as increase or decrease your annual election (allowable maximum is $2,750) Dependent Care Account – you may make mid-year changes including enrollment, revocation, increase or decrease your annual election The Flexible Spending Account rollover maximum has been increased to $550 You may enroll in the company’s health insurance plan without a qualifying event, even […]
